We are looking for individuals who can continue to engage in these challenges or are interested in doing so. ■ Mission: The mission of R&D Promotion (Technical Implementation Promotion) is to continuously tackle all challenges and difficulties to connect the results of research and development to the production site and circulate the information obtained back into new research and development plans, aiming to disseminate our varieties and candidate varieties not only in Japan but globally. ■ Overview of Duties: With the global expansion of the business (expansion of production and sales countries) and scale, complex and highly important issues that cross departments and production/sales countries are rapidly increasing. The themes you will work on are diverse, including building collaborative research systems domestically and internationally, promoting cultivation verification research overseas, providing technical feedback to the development team, establishing initial mass production systems for seeds, and transferring technology from the research and development department to the production department, as well as managing research and development budgets. This role is crucial in driving our growth across various domains, including research and development (breeding, cultivation, biotechnology), operations/teams, countries/areas, etc. ■ Examples of Duties: ◇ Planning and promoting cultivation verification overseas, and feeding back cultivation issues to the R&D organization. ◇ Building and promoting collaborative research systems with domestic and international partner companies, research institutions, and universities. ◇ Managing R&D budgets (including subsidy projects). ◇ Transferring technology to the production department, such as managing initial mass production of seeds. ■ Work Location and Business Trips: - Mainly working at the headquarters lab (Koganei City, Tokyo). - Business trips to overseas test farms, partner research institutions, and our research farms (Nagakawa Town, Hiki District, Saitama Prefecture; Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture), contracted producers, and our satellite lab (Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture) may occur. ■ Preferred Qualifications (Excerpt): - Doctoral program. - Experience in promoting projects with overseas companies and research institutions. - Knowledge of contracts/intellectual property. - Specialized knowledge in breeding, facility horticulture, biotechnology, etc. - Experience in budget management, acquiring and managing public funds, experience in system design and organizational development. Skills and qualifications:

• Final Education: Graduate School, University Graduate or Higher
• Breeding Science: Master's or higher in related fields of plant breeding, genetics, or crop science / Experience in crossbreeding and trait evaluation / Basic understanding of genetic rates and quantitative traits
• Facility Horticulture: Master's or higher in related fields of facility horticulture, plant physiology, or biological environmental engineering / Understanding the relationship between environmental factors such as light, temperature, CO2, and growth / Experience in operating or developing environmental control devices
• Statistics and ML: Master's or higher in related fields of statistics, machine learning, or data science / Experience in data analysis using Python or R / Experience in designing, implementing, validating, and improving statistical models or machine learning models
