When overseas pharmaceutical and healthcare companies enter the Japanese market, they face many specialized challenges, including Japan's unique regulatory requirements, interactions with regulatory authorities such as PMDA, change management after approval, and collaboration with domestic partners. Our company provides comprehensive support to these companies, from formulating regulatory strategies in Japan to practical implementation. The Regulatory Affairs Manager we are recruiting will be responsible for formulating regulatory strategies, interacting with regulatory authorities, handling domestic regulatory procedures, and lifecycle management after approval, focusing on the deployment of pharmaceuticals and related products by overseas clients in Japan. This position requires not only following established procedures but also understanding product characteristics, development status, and the client's business objectives to determine and implement the necessary regulatory responses in Japan. Specifically, you will be responsible for formulating regulatory strategies for pharmaceuticals and related products in Japan, consulting, inquiries, and negotiation support with regulatory authorities such as PMDA, explaining Japanese regulatory requirements to overseas clients, change management after approval, lifecycle management, reviewing domestic regulatory-related documents, and considering response policies based on relevant laws, notifications, and guidelines. You will also work closely with clients, domestic and international partner companies, and internal and external experts to ensure smooth project progress. In our business, there is frequent communication with overseas clients. Therefore, the ability to explain Japan's regulatory system clearly in English and propose realistic solutions based on the situation of overseas companies is crucial. On the other hand, accurate comprehension and explanation in Japanese are required for interactions with domestic regulatory authorities and stakeholders. This job allows you to leverage both Japanese and English skills while demonstrating expertise in an international environment. A unique feature of this position is the opportunity to utilize a wide range of regulatory experience while also tackling new product areas and unfamiliar themes. Since clients' business activities span pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and healthcare-related products, flexibility is required to research as needed, collaborate with experts, and devise optimal responses based on past experiences.
