When conducting surveys, they measure the area, elevation, and spatial relationships of land necessary for urban development. They also conduct damage assessments in the event of natural disasters and inspections to check for deterioration of structures such as bridges. [Job Description of Civil Design Engineer] Based on the data obtained by the surveying team, the civil design engineer is responsible for the design and planning of roads, bridges, and residential land development. Field confirmations and meetings (10-20%) are involved, with CAD-based drawing design being the main focus (about 70%). Training is available even for those without CAD experience before joining.
